National Design Awards, Signes Fundation

The National Design Awards are the most important recognitions given for relevant work in the field of design in Spain.

The main objectives of these awards are to extend, strengthen and promote the culture of design; promote the design in all its aspects, highlighting the exemplary manifestations in the relation between design and company on one hand, and its cultural and social influence on the other; and educate about the correct valuation and comprehension of design by society in general.

It gives two awards, one in the professional and another in the business category. No second prizes or special mentions are awarded.

The awards have an honorific value. The king of Spain, honor sponsor of the BCD Foundation, presides the ceremony. The trophies are designed by Andre Ricard.
